Asian countries celebrate the Lunar New Year, not only China especially
Korea. Korea has various traditions and customs of Lunar New Year. Therefore,
the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand will hold an event 'Happy Seollal,
Korean New Year 2019' to celebrate for Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year)
together. This event will provide a great opportunity to enjoy Lunar
New Year's day.
Program - Traditional Cultural Activities : Saebae (Korean Bowing), Tteok-me (Rice cake mallet) Demonstration, Millstone Grinding, and Making Bokjumeoni (Fortune pouches) - Traditional Plays : Jegichagi and Tuho - Tasting Festival Food : Tteokguk (Rice cake soup) and Bindaetteok (Mung bean pancake) |

event would start with Saebae activity to show how Koreans bowing to
pay respect to the elders in Korean Lunar New Year's day, followed by
various Korean traditional activities, such as Korean food, handicraft,
plays, and traditional dress (Hanbok). You will have a chance to experience
how to make Korean Lunar New Year food, fortune pouches, and enjoy traditional
plays. This event will open for everyone without entrance fee. We are
looking forward to your attendance and enjoy our event.
