G. Berg), and delivers "majestic interpretation" (Diapason). At the age of 26, Daniel Garlitsky's multifaceted versatility as a musician is remarkable. He has performed as a soloist with prestigious orchestras, has led and conducted chamber music ensembles and chamber orchestras and has received invitations as guest concertmaster of internationally renowned symphony orchestras. ........ The praise received from audiences and critics throughout his undertakings bear testimony to his talent. Born into a family of esteemed violinists and pedagogues in Moscow, Daniel Garlitsky was accepted to the specialised "Gnessin" school at the age of 6, beginning violin and piano studies there. In 1991 the Garlitsky family moved to France where the young boy continued his tuition at the Lyon Conservatory and, upon graduation, gained highest distinctions. In 1999, Daniel Garlitsky became a student of the Conservatoire National Sup?rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. After three years, he obtained a first prize in violin and chamber music and a special award for the outstanding performance he gave during his final recital. Parallel to his studies at the Conservatoire, Mr Garlitsky was a scholarship-holder at various international masterclasses and summer music-academies. His teachers have included his father, Boris Garlitsky as well as Matis Vaitsner, Igor Volochine, Pierre Laurent Aimard, Rainer Kussmaul and Glenn Dicterow. |

........ Whilst still studying, Daniel Garlitsky came to the attention of Gidon Kremer who duly invited him to perform at the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival. Furthermore, Daniel Garlitsky repeatedly appeared at festivals throughout Europe, including Estate Musicale a Portogruaro, Radio France Montpellier and Folle Journ?e de Nantes, playing with acclaimed artists such as Augustin Dumay, Bruno Giuranna, Charles Neidich, Oleg Maisenberg and Maria Jo?o Pires. Daniel Garlitsky is regularly invited to lead European orchestras such as Liege Philharmonic, "Residentie Orkest" of The Hague, and Strasbourg Philharmonic (recording of Ravel/Dukas/Koechlin with Pentatone Classics) As a soloist, Mr Garlitsky performed under the baton of Mishiyoshi Inoue (Kanagawa State Orchestra), Vladimir Jurowski (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment) and Dimitri Sitkovetsky (New European Strings) in Europe (Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Teatro Nuovo Giovanni in Udine, Teatro Comunale in Ferrara) and Japan (Yokohama Kenmin Hall). | |

........Furthermore,
Mr Garlitsky performed as leader and conductor of the Kremerata Baltica
chamber orchestra in major halls such as the Zurich Tonhalle, Rudolfinum
Prague and Berliner Philharmonie. Highlights of the 2009/2010 season
included solo performances of Biber and Stravinsky with the Hamburg
Philharmonic and the Hamburg Ballet - John Neumeier, and performances
of Haydn violin concertos on period instruments with the Collegium Orpheus
(France). Future projects include performances of Beethoven's violin
concerto in France and Portugal as well as recordings of Mozart duos
with violist Natalia Tchitch, Bach solo sonatas and partitas and Haydn
violin concertos.
