Bangkok, October 10, 2013 - LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has
officially launched the world's first curved-screen LG CURVED OLED 55-inch
TV (EA9800 model), reinforcing its global leadership in TV innovation.
To celebrate the success of the 84" LG ULTRA HD TV, LG has also
revealed a new series of LG ULTRA HD TVs, in 65-inch and 55-inch models,
which not only deliver four times the resolution of FULL HD for incredibly
vivid pictures even at close distances, but allow complete independent
dimming control that results in brighter, clearer and smoother picture
quality when combined with the most advanced NANO FULL LED screen and
IPS technology.

The world's first curved screen 55-inch LG CURVED OLED TV (EA9800 model)
was first unveiled at CES 2013 in January, where it was recognized as
the future of artistic innovation, with its 4.3mm slim ergonomic design,
offering perfect viewing from any angle. Equipped with WRGB technology,
the LG CURVED OLED TV produces astoundingly vivid and realistic images,
providing an 'IMAX-like' viewing experience. The new TV also delivers
fast-moving scenes with completely blur-free and crystal-clear pictures
thanks to its Absolute Motion Clarity technology that features response
times approximately 100-times faster than conventional LED TVs. More
outstandingly, the transparent design of the Crystal Stand makes it
appear as if the 55-inch LG CURVED OLED TV is floating on air, helping
to further immerse the viewer in the TV's picture quality. Embedded
within the stand itself are LG's forward-facing Clear Speakers. These
super thin and transparent audio units produce amazingly crisp, detailed
sound with remarkable performance in the mid- to high-frequency ranges.
Through a combination of these world-class qualities, the LG CURVED
OLED TV promises a best-in-class home entertainment experience.
To celebrate the success of the 84" LG ULTRA HD TV, LG also launched the 65-inch and 55-inch LG ULTRA HD TV New Series, including the LA9700 and LA9650 models, setting a whole new standard of 'High Definition' TV. LG ULTRA HD TV delivers an incredible 8.3 million pixels per frame with four times the resolution of FULL HD, providing clearer and crisper pictures. Additionally, LG has equipped its new ULTRA HD TVs with Nano FULL LED backlighting. As a result, illumination control is greatly enhanced, guaranteeing outstanding contrast and consistent brightness across the entire breadth of the screen. The LA9700 model also incorporates IPS display panels, which offer incredible color expression and a wide, 178 degree viewing angle. LG has allocated a 150 million baht budget for 360-degree marketing
activities to promote theLG CURVED OLED TV and LG ULTRA HD TV, focusing
on building direct customer experiences to create brand awareness and
differentiation.
"The target group for our latest innovative home entertainment products is technology enthusiasts who are looking for the best and most advanced innovations. We set a sales target for the LG CURVED OLED TV at 500 units and 5,000 units for 65-inch and 55-inch LG ULTRA HD TV. At the end of the year, we are aiming to have secured 21% market share." added, Mr. Alongkorn. |

At the event, LG also had the honor to welcome Donut-Manasnan Panlertwongskul
andKong-Karoon Sosothikul, who shared their lifestyle activities and
what they enjoy doing in their free time. Kong said "Personally,
I really like playing sport, especially high-speed extreme sports. When
I used to watch them on TV, I longed for a big screen TV that could
provide brighter and clearer picture quality and most importantly, with
faster response times to make me feel as if I was actually at the game.
I knew that such a TV would best fulfill my needs at home. Now LG has

from her career as an actress, Donut is also passionate about filming
and photography. She commented on LG ULTRA HD TV, saying that "Having
directed a short film myself, I discovered that there are a lot of elements
that contribute to quality film, especially the camera. A 4K camera
is capable of delivering uncompromising image quality, but it is unfortunate
that the quality is greatly reduced when the film is aired on normal
TVs, where the highest resolution is only FULL HD. With LG ULTRA HD
TV that uses ULTRA HD technology to produce four times higher resolution
than FULL HD TVs, viewers can now watch high-definition movies with
crystal clear images - the same high quality as the camera that was
used to record the film. This ensures the ultimate home-viewing experience."
